Assignments

Two-Way Relocation
An employee relocates for extended periods of up to three years. In such cases, the employee has unique skills or Microsoft experience not available in the local market.

An employee needs to be relocated to the United Kingdom for an assignment scheduled to last three months and needs transfer assistance plus limited repatriation assistance.

International professional
An employee travels to multiple international assignments with no intent of repatriation. International Professionals are generally strategic leaders or high-potential future executive level employee.

One-way relocation
An employee relocates and establishes indefinite residence. This is the standard relocation practice.

Example scenario: A Chinese national needs relocation to Beijing and needs only one-time transfer assistance with limited follow-up help rather than the on-going assistance offered for a temporary relocation.
