Another spot on prediction.  Decades of research into television has achieved the dream of mankind since earliest days: killing time and annoying the wife by watching sporting events all weekend.  Note that this is still a technology in development.  The antenna is primitive, the dial controls are overly complicated, and the couch has not yet been invented for the full potato effect.
