Ah, the desert liner: a prop-driven,
air-conditioned, radio-beam guided 100 passenger behemoth of the sands
that was designed to crash over the dunes of Egypt on low-pressure
spherical tyres. It may not have succeeded
a new form of transport, but it would have introduced the travelling
public to the novelty of "landsickness." |
