A 5,000 mile per hour heavy transport, Thunderbird 2 was
provided with
giant equipment pods that stood by fully loaded for any emergency.
Need a sub? Pick a pod. Need a giant radio transmitter?
Pick another. Works like a charm.
Just don't ever mention that
little "Oh, ****! We brought the wrong pod!" incident.
Once on the
scene, Thunderbird 2 would unload. How? Cargo doors?
Lifting nose assembly? No. The ENTIRE PLANE lifted up on
hydraulic jacks leaving the pod behind.
