This one
is actually not bad, and I have no doubt that many a sci-fi reader
would love to have seen this erected in
steel on the White House lawn. Personally, I think it has a
spooky Soviet agitprop quality about it.
It's strange how so much science fiction,
which has a distinctly conservative tinge to it, tends to adopt the
vocabulary of the most socialist of artists and architects.
That's not surprising, though. Look at all the Bauhaus glass
boxes put up by corporations without a word.
Capitalists forward to the proletarian future!
