Swiss steak in a tube; when the appalling meets the inedible

Here we have a space kitchen c. 1965 designed to feed hungry space travellers of the 21st century.

Really hungry space travellers.  Who are really hard up.  And can't find a takeaway inside a parsec.  Still, what this little galley lacks in style it makes up for in... Well, not much of anything, really.

I think this might explain the crash helmet.
