He yawned and stretched
himself to his full height, revealing a physique much larger than
that of the average man of his times and approaching that of the
huge Martians. His physical superiority, however, was
as nothing compared to his gigantic mind. He was Ralph 124C 41+,
one of the greatest living scientists and one of ten men on the
whole planet earth permitted to use the Plus sign after his name.

And so is described Ralph 124C41+, the eponymous hero of that canon
text of Future Past; a man of tremendous strength, the most brilliant
intellect in the Solar
System, a person of infinite resources and knowledge, and all the
personality of a doorknob. He had every gadget he could
possibly want, the public showered adulation on him for his brilliant
ideas, and he could pretty much do as he pleased even if it meant
throwing a several gigawatt charge through every bit of metal in New
York City on a whim.
And to top it off, his idea of a hot date was taking a girl to see
the local power station.
Ah, yes! A superman for nerds! |
