Lord, you can tell that this
series was filmed in the '70s. Moonbase 3 is claustrophobic,
isolated, and stressful, but after a hard day of battling the Universe
and pushing back the boundaries of of the Unknown all you have to come
home to is a place that was decorated by someone who got a really good
deal on a load of avocado paint.
Not that the fashions help
much-- proving why the '70s is indeed the Decade That Style Forgot.
Still, the frocks were actually
carefully thought out. The simple cut and lack of outside detail
was because the series costumer assumed that all the clothing would be
of heat-welded synthetic fabrics that don't do too well with pockets
and the like-- though apparently does very well for decking women in
skintight bib & braces.
