Moonbase 3: Europe's first
beachhead on the Earth's satellite. Eight years in the making,
it is home to forty scientists, technicians, astronauts and
administrators-- all working on a minimal budget and expected by their
Earth masters to achieve research miracles.
She's not much to look at on the
outside and not much more on the inside. Imagine living in a
landlocked submarine for months on end and you have a pretty good idea
of what life is like in Moonbase 3. Worse, the European
sponsors of Moonbase 3 regard is as a sort of Lunar read-haired
bastard child and support it accordingly. Kind of like the way
that the BBC supported the series.
Moonbase 3 is dedicated to the
advancement of science and the goal of helping all mankind as it
ventures further out into the Cosmos.
Given all the budget cuts and
setbacks, this generally translates as Moonbase 3 doing its
best to avoid the other Moonbases laughing at it.
