The Moog: the machine that freed the modern artistic spirit and launched a thousand musician strikes.  This is the one that brought Future Music home.  It wasn't the first synthesiser, but in the hands of artists such as Wendy Carlos it was the first to show what electronic music could really do.

Pretty impressive accomplishment when you look at some of the early models.  Me, I'd take one glance at all those knobs and buttons and walk slowly out of the room.
