The kites are interesting, but they must have made
tacking a bugger.
When the Lunar Prospector probe was deliberately
crashed into the south pole of the Moon by NASA in the late '90s
scientists were ecstatic about the ambiguous traces of water ice
locked in the Antarctic lunar soil. Clearly the whole thing
could have been sorted out much quicker if Armstrong et al had just
kept their eyes peeled for the rotting keels of ancient lunar
day-sailors. |
