The term "Robot Babe"
not only refers to babes who are robots, but babes with robots.
Somehow, this scene
doesn't surprise me too much. In fact, I think it's a pretty
spot on prediction of how a robot bagboy would perform if you didn't
watch it like a hawk. Let's face it, paper bags are hard enough
for humans to master, let alone robots who are allergic to
unpredictable variables. What I can't understand is the
economics. "Okay, Hal. You want to spend £50,000,
plus VAT, plus theft & damage insurance, plus an annual service
contract on a robot bagboy so we can make Charlie redundant, who makes
£4.85 an hour? Hal, you're an idiot."
