The robot had heard about boats and had always wanted to find one.  He had read that there is NOTHING--absolutely nothing--half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.  Then, on an ancient shore, he found a small dinghy with its oars still shipped.  Unfortunately, the seas had evaporated away.
