This depiction of a future Moonship is by the American illustrator G. H. Davis, though from the look of things I suspect that its lineage is more German than American.  It certainly bears a striking family resemblance to Oberth's rocket from Fritz Lang's Frau im Mond from 1929.  Still, it is a compact little design; more of a space  yacht than ship.  I particularly like the gyroscopic control cabin.  It manages to be both pointlessly complicated, yet claustrophobic. A rare achievement.
